About the National LATINA Symposium

Launched in 2004, the National LATINA Symposium is the premier gathering of Latina military leaders and professionals across the nation. This dynamic, one-day event provides a platform for in-depth discussions on the most pressing issues impacting Latinas today. Through round-table sessions, panel discussions, comprehensive surveys, and insightful commentaries, the symposium explores topics such as career development, business opportunities, family dynamics, health and wellness, cultural awareness, political and civic engagement, and military careers.

A highlight of the symposium is the Distinguished Military Service Awards Luncheon, where we honor Latinas serving in the Armed Forces. To date, over 272 Latinas and 4 Latinos who have significantly advanced Latina recognition have been honored. The event also recognizes the Corporate Veteran ERG of the Year and Veteran of the Year, celebrating excellence in leadership and service.

As part of our commitment to supporting those who serve, we launched the Hero Initiative in 2012 as a development program and recognition platform for Veterans. Over the years, this initiative has honored those who exemplify resilience, excellence, and selfless service. Now, the initiative is evolving into the National Heroes Awards, expanding to recognize Veterans, Veteran First Responders, Military Spouses, and Civilian Heroes who have made extraordinary contributions to their communities and our country.

At its core, the National LATINA Symposium is more than just an event—it is a beacon of empowerment, fostering leadership, recognition, and advocacy for Latinas in the military, the workforce, and beyond.
